Job Purpose and Summary

This position is responsible for supervising and performing advanced technical development, integration, systems administration and support activities with a key role in the integration and administration of enterprise systems. Work includes managing systems administration, development, and integration strategy activities to facilitate data flow in and out of enterprise systems. Work is performed with considerable independence and reviewed by a superior for attainment of program goals, completion of projects, quality and effectiveness of services provided, and overall performance. Supervision is exercised over internal staff and external consultants engaged in enterprise integration, administration and development activities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Supervises, plans, and organizes the Systems Integration & Administration unit’s operations and staff functions including performance management, delegation of work assignments, and review of work product.
  • Provides oversight and/or participates in project teams regarding system work efforts related to system administration and integration for enterprise systems. Provides guidance and determines how to best support the needs of the end user. Ensures technical solutions are based on best enterprise system design practices.
  • Responsible for the design, analysis, integration, system administration, and maintenance of development objects and/or enterprise applications, configurations and solutions. Ensures that detailed specifications of enterprise development and integration processes/procedures are properly documented and maintained.
  • Reviews and analyzes proposed system changes and change requests to determine other potential impacts. Ensures overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures the appropriate technical support is provided to work teams and end users regarding their specific systems, solutions, and processes. Assists with complex/escalated issues by troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving concerns.
  • Supervises the development, maintenance, execution and validation of the testing process and ensures the application/technical environment meets performance requirements.
  • Reviews and approves the technical preparation of business process procedures, test scenarios, end-user documentation, and user manuals. Oversees and assists with knowledge transfer and training to ensure compliance with departmental standards and requirements.
  • Reviews and analyzes changes to legislation, contracts, regulations, business operating procedures, and/or systems that may impact business processes. Determines what changes may be necessary to incorporate within the enterprise system software.
  • Utilizes various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.
  • Uses situational awareness to anticipate and prevent accidents.    
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Eleven (11) years of experience in systems development, systems integration, and/or systems administration of enterprise custom objects or systems in at least one (or a combination) of the areas/environments listed below;
    OR
  • Seven (7) years of experience in systems development, systems integration, and/or systems administration of enterprise custom objects or systems in at least one (or a combination) of the areas/environments listed below AND a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
    Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
  • Years of experience listed above must include one (or a combination) of these areas/environments: 
    • SAP Environment (i.e. ABAP, SAP/PI, SAP workflow, forms development, S/4Hana, ECC, etc.)
    • ServiceNow
    • Microsoft Dynamics
    • Microsoft ADO and PowerApps
    • Web Server Administration
    • .net Administration
    • Integration System Support
    • Mobile App System Administration
    • Windows and Linux Support
  • Four (4) of the years of experience must be in a leadership and/or project management capacity. Two (2) years in a senior level systems administration or integration position will be considered equivalent.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position demands include frequent speaking, writing, and reading reports. Position requires frequent work at a computer utilizing business programs and PTC specific operating systems. Position may require occasional travel and/or fieldwork with exposure to roadway traffic. Occasionally works outside of normal business hours for assigned work assignments.

Office environment with low levels of noise, adequate lighting and comfortable temperature. Field environment may include exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable conditions. Physical environment is generally safe, but safety equipment or precautions must be followed in field conditions.
